+ Q: How do I access the Video on Demand courses that I have purchased?
A: To access your Video on Demand courses, go to http://www.vod.patentresources.com. This will take you to the Video on Demand player’s login screen. Enter your username and password as requested. Once you are logged on, you can find your videos in the “My Videos” section. You’ll be able to download the supporting course materials after you’ve selected the video. When the video is playing there is a button at the bottom of the player with a downward arrow that says “download supporting course materials” when you put your cursor over the icon. Click on the button to download your zipped files and then unzip your files to access your course materials. The materials consist of three files – (1) the course textbook, (2) the course slides, and (3) a course evaluation form which is needed to get CLE credit.

+ Q: What should I do if I can’t see the login screen?

+ Q: Will I need any special software to view the videos?

A: The user system requirements for viewing our Video on Demand courses can be found at VOD System Requirements

+ Q: For how long will my purchased videos be available?

A: All purchased videos will be available for 180 days from the date of purchase.

+ Q: What happens if I accidentally close the window in which my video was playing?

A: Please be careful to avoid closing the window while you’re watching a video as you’ll lose your place in the video. To meet the state CLE requirements, we could not include fast forward functionality in the video player as the states have to be assured that you watched the entire video. If you created a bookmark while you were watching the video, you’ll be able to move forward to that bookmark. If you close out of the player by mistake, navigate back to http://www.vod.patentresources.com. Choose your video from the “My Videos” section.

+ Q: Can I access my videos from more than one computer?

A: Yes. You can access your purchased videos from any computer that meets the minimum system requirements and that has an Internet connection.

+ Q: Why can’t I always use the fast forward function of the player?

A: You can only fast forward through the portions of the video that you have already watched. You cannot fast forward through portions of the video that you haven’t watched yet.

+ Q: Is it okay to use the “Back” button on the Internet browser while watching a video in the video player?

A: No. If you exit the player window using the “Back” button on your Internet browser, you will be returned to the player’s login page. To get back to the video you were watching, you will need to login again and select the video from the “My Videos” section.

+ Q: After I am done watching my video, what do I need to do to receive my CLE credit?

A: If your state has approved Patent Resources Group’s video on demand programs for CLE credit, that state will be listed on the individual course description page. To receive CLE credit, you must fill out the CLE Active State and CLE Active Bar Number information which you will be asked for when you purchase a video on demand course. You will receive a course evaluation form with your purchase of the video. You must fill out this evaluation and self certify that you watched the entire video. Then, fax it back to PRG at 1-434-974-7330 to the attention of PRG CLE Administrator. PRG will provide you with a certificate of completion and will file your paperwork with the state within 10 business days. Please note that not all states accept video on demand courses for CLE credit and some states limit the number of hours of self study programs so please review the individual states requirements listed on the course description pages. If you have any questions about the CLE process for video on demand courses, please email cleadmin@patentresources.com.

+ Q: Are group CLE credits and certificates of completion provided if a group of people watches a Video on Demand course?

A: No, only the individual purchasing the Video on Demand course will receive CLE credit and a certificate of completion.

+ Q: What should I do if I forget my username and password required to login to the Video on Demand player?

A: Go to the storefront page and then click on “Forgot Your Login Information.” A PRG registrar will send your login information back to you in an email.

+ Q: How do I obtain a user name and password to access the Video on Demand Courses?

A: If you have purchased anything from Patent Resources Group in the past or attended any of our courses, you already have a user name and password. That user name and password will allow you to access the Video on Demand player after you purchase a video. If you’ve forgotten your user name and password, please click here and submit your information to PRG. PRG will email you the password information on the next business day. If you are a new customer to PRG and need a user name and password, please click here and submit your information.

+ Q: I purchased a new Video on Demand course and I don’t see it when I’m in the video player.

A: If you purchased a new Video on Demand course and haven’t logged out of the player, please logout and log back in and your course will be in your library.

+ Q: What do I do if I have questions for the instructor on a VOD course after I’ve viewed the course?

A: Within the Home Page of the video player, you’ll see a link to "Ask a VOD Course Question Here," which will take you to a place to submit a question for any Video on Demand course that you have purchased. Before submitting a question, you'll want to click on the "See Answers" tab to see if your question has been answered already. Within the "See Answers" tab, you will have access to any question and answer that has been submitted by any one viewing the course you purchased. If your question hasn’t been answered, click on "Ask Course Question," select your course from the drop down menu and submit your question into the text box. After you click "Submit," your question will be forwarded to Patent Resources Group. We will work with the instructors to craft an answer and within 48 business hours you'll be able to log back into the video player and click on the "Ask a VOD Course Question Here" link, select the course and click on "See Answers" to view your response.

+ Q: Why can’t I access my videos after successfully logging into the video player?

A: If you’re having trouble seeing your videos after logging into the video player, your network firewall or content filtering device may be blocking access to the limelight server that hosts our video on demand courses. Your network administrator needs to ensure that you can access the following domain – patentrg.fcod.llnwd.net.

+ Q: Does PRG offer group pricing for a group to view any of your video on demand courses?

A: Yes, we do although it’s not possible if you are seeking CLE credit. If you’re not seeking CLE credit and have a group that wishes to purchase and view our VOD courses, please send us an email at registrar@patentresources.com and we’ll contact you about your group pricing request.
