A: Yes. Our materials are designed with the express purpose of assisting you in passing the USPTO Exam, but it is our goal to teach you patent law in the process, so that once you pass, you will be an effective patent attorney or agent.

How do I register to take the Patent Bar Exam?
A: Please visit the USPTO’s Office of Enrollment & Discipline website, www.uspto.gov/web/offices/dcom/gcounsel/oed.htm. Once there, select “Examination Registration.” This site will answer any and all Exam-related questions, including requirements to sit for the Exam and how the Exam is administered.

What does the Classroom or Video Bar Review Course tuition cover?
A: The Course tuition covers all lectures and instructional materials; for the Classroom course, it does not cover travel expenses, hotel accommodations or meals. We do, however, provide morning and afternoon refreshments at the Classroom Course. Shipping within the continental US and Canada is included in the tuition price; overseas purchasers incur an additional shipping cost (please contact our office via email: registrar@patentresources.com, if you are an overseas purchaser).

What are your Bar Review Course payment methods?
A: We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Personal or Corporate Checks. Additionally, wire transfers of funds may be arranged. We do not accept purchase orders.

Once I place my Bar Review Course order, when should I expect to receive my materials?
A: Once an order is received, it takes approximately 1-2 business days to process the order. Once your order is processed, the materials are shipped via UPS Ground Service; delivery takes between 2-7 business days depending upon your location.

How do I obtain the posted PRG hotel room rate for a Classroom Bar Review Course?
A: Please be sure to identify yourself as a Patent Resources Group attendee when making your room reservation. Please contact our office if you encounter difficulties in the room reservation process.

Where are the live Classroom Bar Review Courses held?
A: All courses are held at the Course location.

Is there a dress code?
A: No, most attendees dress casually. Please be aware that as classroom temperatures are often difficult to regulate, it may be prudent to pack a light sweater or sweatshirt.

Is lunch provided?
A: No. A continental breakfast, mid-morning beverage break, and an afternoon beverage and food break are provided.

How do I obtain CLE credit for my Classroom Bar Review Course?
A: Please be sure to provide us with your CLE State and Bar number on your registration form. If your state is a mandatory CLE state that requires you to take action at the course, we will have forms for you to pick up or complete on the morning break of the last day of class. If you practice in a state that doesn’t require action at the Course, PRG will either (1) submit the required forms on your behalf and provide you with a copy approximately 30 days after the program ends, or (2) provide you with a reminder to submit your information approximately 30 days after the program ends.

Do any of the Bar Review Course study materials have to be returned to PRG?
A: No, all instructional materials, including the Video Lecture Series DVD-R discs and ExamWare® CD-ROM, are yours to keep.

What is the difference between the Classroom and Video Bar Review Courses?
A: With the Classroom Course, you attend five days of lectures in a live classroom setting. The Video Course consists of approximately 46 hours of lectures, in DVD-R format. The printed materials for both Courses are the same, except for the lecture charts, which are substantially the same but are tailored to the Classroom and Video formats.

I can't decide between the Classroom and the Video Bar Review Courses. Does one have an advantage over the other?
A: No. Some purchasers like the structure of a Classroom setting, while others enjoy the flexibility of the Video Course.

Is there a difference in the PRG pass rate between the Classroom Bar Review Course purchasers and the Video Bar Review Course purchasers?
A: No. An equal number of students pass the USPTO Exam using the Classroom and Video Courses.

How much time should I set aside to study with your Bar Review Course?
A: This is a difficult question to answer as each student has differing time constraints and methods of study. The materials are very comprehensive, yet very straightforward. When you register, we send to you a packet of information that details all the Course materials and how to approach your Exam preparation.

At the Classroom Bar Review Course, are questions permitted?
A: Yes, at designated times. As there is a lot of material to cover, instructors do not permit questions during the lectures, but questions of all types are permitted during breaks and instructors are also available after class for questions. Approximately 1-2 weeks prior to your course, you will receive information via email regarding the Question and Answer format at the course.

If I attend a Classroom Bar Review Course, is it necessary to bring all the materials I was shipped with me?
A: No. Approximately 1-2 weeks prior to your Course, you will receive information via e-mail that details the materials you should bring with you to the Course.

If I purchase the Video Bar Review Course and have questions, will they be addressed?

If I register for a Classroom Bar Review Course, may I also purchase the Video lectures?
A: Yes, Classroom or Video purchasers who wish to supplement their Exam preparation by either adding the Classroom Lectures to a Video Course or adding the Video Lectures to a Classroom Course may do so at a significantly lower price. Specific information relating to this question is addressed in your Course Confirmation Packet.

How are updates to your Bar Review materials handled?
A: If there are revisions to our materials, we will provide them to you free of charge for up to 12 months after your initial purchase. After that point, you may have to incur an additional cost to keep your materials current.

Do the ExamWare® CD-ROM and DVD-Rs expire?
A: Yes. The license agreement states that you have use of these products for 12 months after your initial purchase.

On how many computers may I install the ExamWare® and DVD-Rs?
A: You may install each of these products on only two computers.

If I encounter technical difficulties with the ExamWare® CD-ROM or the DVD-Rs, what should I do?

What is your Bar Review Course return policy?
A: You have 15 days from receipt of your materials to notify our office that you wish to return your order. Please note that we do not accept returns of the ExamWare® CD-ROM or DVD-R if the seal on these items has been broken, and will not accept returns of materials that are not in resalable condition.
