Richard A. Killworth is a partner with Dinsmore & Shohl, LLP, in Dayton, OH. Mr. Killworth has been in the private practice of patent law for over 30 years, working on patent licensing, litigation, and chemical patent prosecution matters. He was a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for four years, working in organic chemistry technology, and then clerked for two years at the U.S. Court of Customs and Patent Appeals, now the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Mr. Killworth has taught courses for Patent Resources Group since 1982 and has served as adjunct professor of law at Ohio State University College of Law. He has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America from its inception and has been named a Top 100 Ohio Super Lawyer by Law & Politics Media. Mr. Killworth has a B.S. in Chemistry (1965) and an M.A. (1966) from Purdue University, and a J.D. (1970) and a LL.M. (1972) from George Washington University.
