Bryan C. Diner is a partner in Finnegan, Henderson's Washington, DC office. His practice includes all aspects of intellectual property law, including patent prosecution, opinion preparation, interferences, and litigation, especially defending clients' interests in Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) litigations. Mr. Diner also developed an expertise in IP due diligence relating to the transfer of intellectual property assets, particularly in mergers and acquisitions. With colleagues in the firm, Mr. Diner published a comprehensive article on conducting IP due diligence investigations in BNA International’s IP & Technology Programme. Mr. Diner served as the managing partner of the firm’s Brussels, Belgium office from 1998 through 2003. During his tenure in Brussels, he advised European clients on matters relating to U.S. intellectual property, and he continues to lecture at various programs and conferences targeted to the European business community. With colleagues at the firm, Mr. Diner has published a comprehensive book on Chemical Patent Law. He has lectured extensively in the United States and Europe on U.S. patent law issues, focusing particularly on topics affecting the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. Mr. Diner graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology (B.S., Chemical Engineering, with honors, 1984) and Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D., 1987). He was admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and New Jersey in 1988 and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
